I feel like I was just sitting down to think about my June goals. I also feel like I say this every time a new month comes around. Who do we need to contact to slow down how fast life seems to be moving lately? Anyone?
I am happy to report that overall, it was a productive month with a little surprise at the end that kept me pretty busy! This surprise, however, deserves its own little post this week. So stay tuned! However, if you follow me on IG, I may have already blown my cover!
Let’s take a little walk down memory lane on what my June goals were. Shall we?
#1: Journal Everyday-
This was probably the goal I was best at. Maybe because I needed to get some heavy duty thoughts out, or maybe I was just ready to come back to it. You know how folks say that you miss something when it is gone and if you start back, you wonder why you left it? This was me. I am so glad to be back to putting my thoughts back on black and white. It is what I need and what I crave.
#2: Read TWO books-
I may have struggled, and at times been cursing at the work load I put in front of me, BUT I am happy to report that my two books are read and I am now searching for the next two that I can read this month. The two that I read this month were SO good, they also deserve their own post! So, again, stay tuned for that!
#3: Get Back on track-
If there was one goal that I truly needed and total slacked on, this is it. I did start using my new food tracker app, however, I didn’t lift once this month after my meet on June 4th and I only did one 45 minute session of cardio. The Happy Planner? Yep, I am so back on track with that!
#4: De-clutter and Have a Sale-
The whole top floor of my home has been de-cluttered and we are still working on the basement in the garage. I didn’t have a garage sale because I ran out of time. Instead, Andrew was kind enough to take all the items to Goodwill for me. It was such a weight that was lifted off and I know I have more to do on this but (and I should have) if you would have witnessed the bags and piles that was removed from my top floor, you may have called me in to the show hoarders.
Overall, I knew that taking on these four goals were simple but yet complex at the same time. I have made great efforts at getting back on track. Even though it is a work in progress every day, I feel like I have made big strides this month! July’s goals are definitely a must!
