When we take a look at New Year’s Resolutions, we often think less of ourselves if we don’t hit the mark, or often times they are so far outside of the box and unattainable that it comes as no surprise when we don’t accomplish them. However, setting realistic expectations or elaborating on the goals that you are already doing, to make them better, are met by the sense of accomplishment.
I have been spending the past few days really trying to think about the personal goals that I want to achieve for 2017. Realizing that contentment has taken over me is often over shadowed by the thoughts of “but you always need to be better, do better, know more, so just quit being a whine ass and make some goals.” So, here I am. Making goals, errr accomplishments, errrr whatever this is.
