At the start of this year, I made 16 goals that I was going to work on(original post here). I thought maybe it was time to check in on them to refresh and re-define if necessary. I have done that below.
Analyzing the year so far:
I definitely haven’t been looking consistently at my goals and the saying rings true that “out of sight, out of mind” happened to me. I have put them on poster board in my office so I will have a constant reminder of where I want to go. In some areas, I have been a little lazy and I am making an effort to not be so lazy on those sections.
From today forward my action plan will be:
-outline monthly objectives for the goals.
-set up project plans
- outline next action steps
-take time for gratitude
-communicate schedule to others
-schedule deadlines for projects
Consistently working towards a better me is part of my healing process with the ill things that have occurred in my life. Making me better does not allow the situations to be a part of me but rather, a part of my past story. Removing the negative toxins by pressing forward can only create a positive mindset for tomorrow.
It doesn’t have to be 16 things but creating even 3-4 things that you want to prioritize and accomplish in your life can be eye opening experiences that will you want to do more, be more and live more. I highly encourage those who are seeking to fill or correct a blank space, color in it with positivism and goals that make you a better person. Use the brightest colors you can find, no one can come close enough to dim them.
