I will be the first to admit that getting up at 4 a.m. is not my idea of a good time, or so I thought. When people hear 4 a.m. they can’t help but wrinkle their nose and express the resounding phrase of “ugh, why would you do that?!”
Little do they know, the most productive people are the ones who rise before the hustle and bustle truly begins. I have come to love and appreciate the quiet still of silence when even the birds are still asleep. I appreciate the world much more when I can’t hear the cars buzzing and the chatter of many voices amongst the streets.
I appreciate the early morning for multiple reasons:
Generally speaking, when the day is set up for success, there is no other option but to be successful. For some, they are able to accomplish said tasks at 6am or the evening to be successful and that is wonderful. However, there is something unspoken about an individual that chooses to rise before everyone else and chase after things people often have sitting on the to-do sheet for a while before being able to get to it.
I encourage you to check that list and see what you can do at 4am, it might surprise you. After all, grandma did say “the early bird gets the worm.” How true that really is.
