There are five things that, in no particular order, are my personal core values. They are things that above everything, I will not stray from, nor will I compromise for anyone. They are also things that make me a better person and allow me to strive to be the best I can be in any relationship. They are also written on my mirror so that every day I get ready, I can be reminded of how I am going to show up for myself and for others that day.
Core Value #1
Learn. There is nothing I love more than continual learning. Just because I graduated at the collegiate level, does not warrant for me to just stop learning. I love learning about myself, other people, my industry, and just about anything else I can get my mind into. I will forever be a lifelong student.
Core Value #2
Create. As many of you know, I like to dabble in creating different things from hand lettering signs, paper crafts, pictures, blogging, etc. Creating really goes hand in hand with learning for me. The more I create, the more my heart opens. I love creating for myself and my dearest people in my life.
Core Value #3
Love. This is one of the best values to have. I love love. But I thrive to learn how to love. Everyone needs and loves differently and there is nothing I want to do more than love on the people so very special in my life but also use my heart to help others by loving them.
Core Value #4
Integrity. This all-encompassing word of trust, respect, and honor is a value that is dear to me. I pride myself on being trustworthy, respectful and honoring myself and others. I also fall short many days but this value is ingrained in me to continually be better and do better by those my integrity stands behind.
Core Value #5
Fun. Above all, life should be fun. There should be random road trips, laughter, silliness and the ability to just have fun. In everything I do in life, I want to do it with joy in my heart.
What are your values? If you don’t have any currently, have you thought about defining them and displaying them for you to see?
